On the 29th of September, Deirdre O’Shea, mother of current pupils attending CBC Monkstown, spoke to all current 4th year TY students in the reception area. Ms. O’Shea’s lecture topic was something of much significance - the importance of social placement.
As Deirdre herself is a specialist in pain research and relief, she really could clue us in on how people who are in our workplaces could be in pain and we could brighten up their day with the flick of a finger. Ms. O’Shea really opened up our eyes to how we can really change a person’s day during social placement by simply being friendly, warm and polite.
