Her explanation of the homeless crisis was eye-opening. She then told us what we can do to get involved and help. Money is good but there is no better donation than hands-on work.
She gave our year a very exciting work placement opportunity where we can help. Many have now signed
up for work placement with the Dublin Simon Community. Tatiana was very kind and helpful, answering any questions we asked. I am glad as I personally feel I learned a lot more about homelessness in
Ireland and how to apply myself and help people less fortunate than I am.
This is one of the highlights of transition year for me as it made me really think about how lucky I am to have what I do. Tatiana could not have informed us more through her presentation. We also got to listen to Eoin Byrne from 5th year and his experience on the work placement offer available for us. He made it sound very
appealing for us. Overall it was a very good educational experience.
