There were many other tourists there, many of whom were wishing to view the book of Kells. We then headed up Dame street towards the Molly Malone statue.
After a brief look at the statue we went into the tourist information office and each got a map of the city which was quite useful. When we got our maps we then headed towards St Patrick's Cathedral near the Liberties where we learnt that that was where the defensive wall around Dublin stretched to in ancient times. The cathedral was a mixture between gothic and Romanesque style architecture. After seeing this cathedral we then carried on up the road to see Christchurch cathedral which in my opinion was a much more impressive building. I thought that the trip was really interesting because i went to some places that I would never have gone to if I was in town. I also have gained knowledge about were certain places are in town such as Trinity College and the Central Bank. The trip was very good and I now have high hopes for any other trip we do in fourth year.
